How Breathwork Helped Me Find My Way Home

I'd like to say I found breathwork on purpose. But honestly? It found me.

I was in my forties, a newly single-mother & widow, mid-life, just trying to figure out what came next. I tried everything — talk therapy, hypnosis, NLP, a full year of weekly EMDR sessions. They all helped in their own way. They were all part of the recipe.

What Exactly is 9D Breathwork?

9D Breathwork is a multi-dimensional journey that combines conscious connected breathing with binaural beats, solfeggio frequencies, guided visualization, and somatic movement. It's designed to help you access deeper states of consciousness and release what's been stored in your nervous system. Think of it as a powerful reset for your entire being.

How long is each breathwork journey?

9D Breathwork journeys vary in length from 1 Hour to 1.5 hours, plus a short intro session and a wrap up session after. You should expect to schedule about 2 hours total. Keep in mind, these sessions will take work. However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t do it. I know you can! Everyone can tap into the power of breath. So while it won’t be easy, it will be impactful. Your learning something new and building new muscle. You are worth it! ❤️

I've never done breathwork before. Is this suitable for beginners?

Absolutely! We all start somewhere. Many of my clients are completely new to breathwork. I guide you through everything step by step, and the beauty of 9D is that it does most of the work for you - you just need to show up and breathe. Plus, being in a group creates a beautiful container of safety and support.

How will I know if the journey “worked?”

You should feel noticeably different. Some might describe that as feeling “lighter”. Some might feel relief, peace, serenity, etc.

Others feel the absence of dread or frantic energy. Regardless, when you feel something, (particularly something positive) you know it’s working.

Each journey is different, but you might experience emotional releases, physical sensations, memories surfacing, or simply deep relaxation. Some people have profound visions, others feel energy moving through their body. There's no "right" way to experience it - your body knows exactly what it needs.

What if I don't feel any changes? Did I do it wrong?

Sometimes the most profound shifts happen subtly. Not everyone has dramatic experiences, and that doesn't mean it's not working. Often clients notice changes in their daily life - sleeping better, feeling less reactive, or having more clarity - rather than during the session itself. Trust the process.

How long before I feel the results?

It all depends on the results you’re looking to get. Some people feel a change instantly and others it may take a day or two to notice.

How many times should I do a 9D Breathwork Journey

As many times as you need to. You will notice a measurable difference in how you feel after but that doesn’t mean the work is done. If you really want to remove the blocks sitting in your body, you should aim to make this a regular part of your life. Does that mean you do this journey once a day? No. Does it mean you should be aiming to use breathwork more than once a week? Absolutely.

How is this different from meditation or therapy?

While meditation works primarily with the mind and therapy with thoughts and patterns, breathwork works directly with your nervous system and body. It can help you access and release things that talk therapy sometimes can't reach. It's not a replacement for therapy, but rather a beautiful complement to any inner work you're doing.

Is this a replacement for therapy or medication?

No, 9D Breathwork is not a replacement for therapy or medication. If you are already in therapy, this can help you gain more out of your sessions but this is in no way something to do INSTEAD of therapy.

Can I do breathwork exercises if I’m pregnant?

We strongly recommend that you DO NOT do breathwork while you are pregnant.

I have cardiovascular issues/ chronic respiratory conditions/have a history of aneurysms and seizures/am on heavy-duty medications, can I still participate in breathwork?

What should I bring to my session?

Please wear loose comfortable clothing. Bring a water bottle, a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, and any other items you would like for comfort. What if I can't make one of the live sessions?

Life happens! Each session will be recorded so you can catch up on your own time. However, the live group energy is really special, so I encourage you to prioritize live sessions if possible. The magic happens in real-time together.

What happens after the 6-weeks are over?

My hope is that you'll have experienced what it feels like when that door inside you stays open, and you'll have tools to keep it that way. Many clients continue with another 6-weeks, monthly drop-in sessions or work with me individually. But the real goal is for you to feel empowered in your own relationship with your breath and body.
